當地居民說，前來東石漁人碼頭抓寶的盛況，已到了「無法無天」地步，他曾目睹1輛長約10公尺的聯結車駕駛，行經彩霞大道時竟忙著在駕駛座抓寶；甚至還將整輛聯結車停在馬路，如果警察不嚴格取締，遲早會發生大車禍。

東石漁人碼頭因精靈多、道館多、補給站也多，成為嘉義縣抓寶人潮最多的景點之一；尤其遇到假日，很多遊客因不願將車子停在距離東石漁人碼頭約500公尺外的免費公有停車場，於是任意在漁人碼頭四周違停，最誇張的是，竟有駕駛人將車子停在車道、分隔島。
對於遊客違停問題，朴子警分局最近已經開罰，東石漁人碼頭周遭車輛違停問題已獲得明顯改善。
